Kingdom Prepared

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. ~ Matthew 25:31-34

We have been referred to metaphorically throughout the bible as sheep, but here we see that there appears to be a second animal we can be referenced as also – goats.  Inquisitive, independent and oftentimes stubborn, it seems only fitting that God would metaphorically use them to symbolize non-believers.  An animal and people who are not eager to be led by anything.  The Lord alone has the right to divide mankind into two groups – the believers and the non-believers.  Before the judgement day, the Lord God Almighty, the Creator of the universe, will then become the judge and jury and hand out judgement of eternal implications as the sheep will be called to heaven and live with Christ for eternity and the goats will be condemned to damnation, or the place of hell.  No one ever has, or ever will have this much power over mankind, only the Lord.  He will have everyone’s attention.  What He says will now be intensely important to even the goats and an overwhelming realization will set in.  The sheep will have eternal life with Christ that no one will be able to snatch away from them.  Their faith, and faith alone has blessed them into His final care no matter how many steps backward they may have taken as this judgement is purely faith based. Faith gets you into heaven and the works of a believer will give them extra heavenly rewards, but does not hold up entry to heaven.  God will applaud, angels will cheer and we will be welcomed home based on our faith.  It’s once again, a heart issue.  All eternity rests on this question:  what did you do with my son, Jesus?  What kind of relationship did you have with Him?  Do not let this question catch you off guard!  Choose Jesus today! ~ Amen
